This project was part of an academic assignment where I collaborated with a brand to conduct a case study. The objective was to research the brand, identify a key challenge, and develop a creative solution. Through extensive research and close collaboration with Zeeman, we uncovered the opportunity to engage a younger audience through an accessible skincare concept, resulting in ZeemanJij.
COLOR PALETTE & LOGO MARK
For the visual identity, I stayed true to Zeeman's signature brand colors by using soft blue and yellow tones to maintain brand recognition. To appeal to a younger audience, I introduced a modern twist with updated design elements and a fresh, playful approach that resonates with contemporary tastes.
Zeeman identified a need to foster more loyal customers—specifically those who align with their core values: involved, zuinig, and unconventional. These values naturally resonate with Generation Z, yet Zeeman’s current brand communication did not effectively engage this audience. Our task was to develop a concept that would bridge this gap and appeal directly to Gen Z. Through our research, we discovered that skincare is a rapidly growing interest among this demographic, presenting a unique opportunity for Zeeman to connect with them in a fresh and relevant way.
We developed a clean and no-nonsense feel for the it's brand identity, which highlights that every supplement is evidence based and proven effective through research, containing only novel useful ingredients and dosages.
PRODUCTS
To align with Zeeman’s values of simplicity and accessibility, we created a skincare line featuring four essential products that form the foundation of any skincare routine. These straightforward, everyday products reflect Zeeman’s practical approach while catering to the needs and interests of a younger audience. The ZeemanJij line includes:
-Daily Facial Cleanser: for a gentle, everyday cleanse.
-Hydrating Day Cream: to provide simple, effective moisture.
-Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30 : offering essential sun protection.
-Lip Balm: for easy, everyday lip care.
